Event Description
Montreal-based duo Yannick Desranleau and Chloe Lum (Seripop) invite local audiences and visitors to playfully engage with public art through their site-responsive installations. Seripop’s works are sculpted from brightly coloured, screen-printed sheets of paper that unfold a disorienting collection of narrative, aesthetic references and histories until the works are trodden and torn beneath the footsteps of passers-by. The pieces, displayed throughout the City of Victoria, explore the concept of impermanence and its effect on interpretation.
