LIVE SHOW DESCRIPTION: Our live performance features live vocals and live drums, which are supported by a professionally produced and mixed stereo backing track. The backing track includes all instrumentation apart from the lead vocals and live drums. The performance combines both live and electronic elements meant to sound like a seamless hybrid DJ set. We also provide custom visuals to accompany our performance, enhancing the audience experience.

Calgary-based cinematic alt-pop duo Midnite Gossip, known for their evocative blend of alternative, indie-pop, trip-hop, and electronica, deliver high-energy performances that blend cinematic storytelling with infectious beats and soaring vocals. The audio/visual duo captivates audiences with their “pretty but gritty” sound, carving out a space all their own in the indie-alternative music scene. Mickey Valenz (drums), whose energetic and methodically crafted performances take audiences on a cinematic sonic journey. With Valenz’s animated, heart-pounding drumming and Markin’s dynamic vocal range, their shows promise an unforgettable, high-energy audio-visual experience that leaves fans singing and dancing along.

Their selection for Canadian Music Week (2024) speaks volumes of their talent and captivating presence. “The duo’s connection with the audience was palpable,” Stewart adds, “with many attendees expressing a sense of ‘friendship’ with the performers.”
Since forming in late 2022, Midnite Gossip has earned national radio play on stations like CBC, CJSW, CKUA, and X92.9 FM’s Xposure, and they have been featured in both Canadian and international media. Their Live EP, released in March 2024, gained significant traction, reaching No. 8 on CJSW’s electronic charts and solidifying their growing reputation. On the global stage, the duo was a three-time finalist at the 8th Annual California Music Video & Film Awards (2025) for their self-filmed, directed, and edited music video Streetlights [Mickey Valenz Remix]. Nominations include Best of Canada Music Video, Coolest Video Effects, and The Chip E. Best EDM/Dance Music Video Award.
